Whats A Credit Union? |

Credit unions are different from most other financial institutions. As a
credit union, Riverfront is jointly owned and controlled by its members.
As a member and Shareholder, YOU are part owner of the credit union and
share in Riverfront’s earnings. You receive advantages when you save,
borrow or use other financial services. It’s your money, so as a member
you receive the maximum benefits and none of the other hassles that are
frequently associated with other financial institutions.
It’s about people helping people.
We are founded on the principle of self-help, which means that when
members save, they provide a pool of money that may be lent to other
members at reasonable rates. This “people helping people” philosophy leads
to better rates, better service and a better deal for members. Riverfront
has been helping its members in the Reading community achieve their
financial dreams and goals for over a half century. We want to build on
our exemplary record by sharing that financial strategy with the younger
members of our community, too. You’ll find that we have some of the best
